Agriculture remains an important part of the community with tobacco, corn, soybeans, cattle and hogs among the principal products. Workers here build air compressors, air filters, church steeples, wood products and a variety of other light industry.

We are the home of Campbellsville University - a Southern Baptist-affiliated institution of higher learning with 1,700 students.

Recreation is also important. Green River Lake offers some of the finest fishing and boating in the state and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The lake has hosted national muskie and statewide bass tournaments.
